QCNYS Lines and Angles Challenge Winners
QCNYS CHALLENGE WINNERS
The Lines and Angles of New York State
The 24 entries in this year's challenge were exciting, varied and exhibited a grand array of quilting techniques with flair and expertise. Juror Eugenia Barnes exclaimed over each and every one while seeking to identify the twelve that will travel to various quilt shows over the 2016 show season.
As curator of this endeavor and on behalf of the QCNYS Board of Directors it is my great pleasure to announce the results:

Quarterly Membership meeting
Tomorrow is the quarterly meeting of the QCNYS to be held at St, Januarius church in Naples, NY. Caren Betlinski is the featured speaker and she does awesome thread painting work. Meanwhile......ponder this for some much needed humor these days.....I'm sure we can all relate!

Architecture! Museum Quilt Guild in Batavia annual challenge!
Every year the Museum Quilt Guild issues a challenge to its members to create quilts on a certain theme which will then hang in the Richmond Library for the month of February! This year the theme was "Architecture"! Members could choose to create realistic depictions of architecture to using a very traditional block such as "log cabin" to portray the theme, There are over 30 quilts on displaying showing a variety of styles of architecture and quilting. Quilts range fom Frank Lloyd Wright windows, to bridges to city landmarks to houses......and beyond!
